To escape the winter weather, we traveled to Malta in December. Between 7,000 years of history, the seat of the Templar order and locations from Game of Thrones, we didn’t know what to do with those few days. The views were amazing, so we took a lot of pictures.
We saw: Dingli Cliffs and Blue Grotto, San Anton Garden (Red Keep Garden / GoT – S1E4), Ancient city of Mdina and the capital Valletta, Mdina Gate (King’s Landing Gate / GoT – S1E3), Piazza Mesquita (Littlefinger’s Brothel / GoT – S1E3), Fort Manoel, where Ned Stark died and we explored in the pouring rain the nooks and crannies inaccessible to tourists (Great Sept of Baelor / GoT – S1E9), Upper and Lower Barrakka Gardens, St Elmo Bay and Breakwater Bridge, where in the rain and on steep and slippery stones we circled the entire rocky bay that looked like the surface of Mars, St John’s Co-Cathedral, where we saw the largest and only signed painting by Caravaggio
