Spring, 2025. It has been a long time without travel. A long time without photographs. But now the waiting is done.
I’ve spent months preparing. Looking at maps. Making lists. Thinking. The journey ahead is the longest I have ever planned. The farthest I have ever gone. I’m bringing a new camera. The one I always wanted. I chose it for this trip, and for whatever comes after.
I will start posting again in the summer, when I return. Maybe someone will see it. Maybe not. I don’t mind. I like keeping this journal. It is quiet here, and true. Like a well-made campfire in the middle of nowhere.
